NABIP Austin (formerly known as Austin Association of Health Underwriters) is a local chapter of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance professionals,( https://nabip.org/) and NABIP-TX (https://tahu.org/) a volunteer member organization that represents nearly 20,000 licensed health insurance agents, brokers, consultants, and benefit professionals from 200+ chapters across America.

NABIP Austin members help Central Texas consumers by guiding the health insurance needs of large and small employers as well as those seeking individual health insurance, ancillary products and Medicare supplement or advantage plans. Our organization is dedicated to providing professional development opportunities to our members so they can better serve their clients insurance needs. Message from our NABIP Austin President

Caleb Reynolds

As we move into another exciting chapter for our association, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your commitment to our association and to the members we serve every day.

I also want to thank our immediate past president, Maria Irwin, for her leadership, guidance, and tenacity over the past board year. She has done more than anyone I know to help ensure our Austin chapter will continue to thrive for years to come.

The health and benefits market continues to evolve at a rapid pace. Legislative changes, new regulations, emerging technologies, and shifting consumer needs require us to remain informed, adaptable, and engaged. Through it all, one constant remains: the value of knowledgeable, ethical professionals who advocate for their clients and their communities.

NABIP and our Austin chapter exist to support that mission. This year, we are focused on strengthening member engagement, expanding educational opportunities, fostering meaningful networking, and continuing our advocacy efforts on behalf of everyone in the health and benefits industry, as well as the consumers who rely on us. Whether you are a longtime member or recently joined our organization, your experience, ideas, and participation make our chapter stronger.

Our association is built on a shared purpose, so I encourage each of you to attend our meetings, volunteer on a committee, mentor a new member, and invite a colleague to experience the benefits of NABIP. Together, we can continue building a community of professionals committed to excellence, integrity, and service.

Let’s also recognize our board members, committee chairs, volunteers, and sponsors. Their dedication behind the scenes makes everything we accomplish possible, and I am grateful for their leadership and commitment.

As President, I am honored to serve alongside such an outstanding group of professionals. I look forward to working with each of you as we continue to grow our chapter, advocate for our industry, and make a positive impact.
