Join AAHU for our Monthly Membership Meeting: Building Inclusive Relationships, for Insurance and Benefits Professionals

We are pleased to present our featured speaker: Latisha Schmitt for a 1.0 Hour General CE Webinar.

The complex issues and dynamics at the intersection of race, class, gender, and sexuality call for deeper thinking as we seek to understand each other.

Insurance agencies and carrier partners, employers and customers, even independent agents, may understand that they “should be” diverse and welcome relationships and service customers with those who can bring expertise, perspectives, and reputational capital, without regard to race, class, gender or sexuality, but what does that really mean?

With the ongoing national and local dialogue taking place, the Austin Association of Health Underwriters invites carrier partners, insurance agencies, independent agents, and employers to join this thoughtful discussion with Latisha Schmitt of Humana to learn more about resources that can be utilized.

The discussion will also include a conversation around examples of when unconscious or affinity bias can become a factor, specific to the insurance and employee benefits space.
